I bought a set of them for my mom's birthday and after she opened them up and tried them out, I had to buy a set for me. This are made to last me a lifetime.
I love these tools! No more flimsy handles that bend while you’re digging or worse, break. NO rust, either! I’ve had 1 piece aluminum tools before but they had rubber (or something) on the handles. I was happy to find that these do not, as the rubbery stuff ends up disintegrating over time. These tools are perfect in every way.
I bought two orders of this product, one for myself and one as a gift. I've been using mine for about a week now. They wash off well using a just a garden hose. I've hit a few rocks in my flower beds and the edge did not chip or bend. They are heavy duty so if you have arthritis or small hands, they might be hard to use. To maintain, I recommend rinsing following use.
After using (and killing) almost all garden tools, I wanted something that I'd never have to replace again. Over the 5+ decades that I've been a gardener, all of the soft or wood handle tools simple died on me. The either separated or the spongy handles got so filthy and gritty that they were no longer comfortable to use. Enter these solid cast aluminum tools.
These have a nice weight and feel good in the hand. They can be rinsed off and cleaned forever. They'll never rust, bend or break and will never need to be replaced. People are already eyeing my set with the thought that they could 'borrow' them. Sorry, not happening. Happy, happy happy.
My neighbor bought a set of these tools and said these will be the best gardening tools I'll ever have. I just received them yesterday and I'm super happy I bought this set. Typically the metal ones last for several years before bending or corroding. I'm sure these won't.
